What we have done since we arrived.
Monday
3:00 PM Went to a park with fountains in downtown Knoxville, TN
7:30 PM First worship service…this worship guy is way too into motions during worship
9:15 PM First group time
10:00 PM Serious group time ended, played a game of human knot…your kids are a bunch of quitters.
12:45 AM The guys in my room finally stop talking and we go to sleep
Tuesday
7:45 AM A surprisingly large number of students got up for breakfast this morning…that number will go down as the week goes on
8:30 AM Wake up…watched a dramatic game of Jenga
9:00 AM Worship and Devotion…Scott Greer gave some challenging thoughts
9:30 AM Students spread out to do their quiet time…my favorite part of the day. Not just because it is the one part of the day when students aren’t talking.
10:00 AM They go to D-group where either Chris or Dan are teaching them
10:01 AM I get on my computer and start working on email and blog

I seriously LOVE your play by plays of the week, Jared! Helps me feel connected. Thank you for taking them.
Comment by Kay July 7, 2009 @ 11:29 pm1. worship motions like fist pumps and other ‘lets all do the same thing together’ things? if so thats really sad, i recently realized i am not a fan there even a little bit.
2. im also not a fan of quitting the human knot. not even a little bit.
3. is scott greer the danville man?! i am a fan of that! more than a little bit.
im a little bit sad i opted not to go. hope everything continues well.

Comment by Diane Schoon July 8, 2009 @ 9:51 amGosh, sounds like fun, thanks for the guilt trips during the week about not being there. Hope God works and tell any of the kids that are on the fence about making decisions that I will smack them the next time I see them if they don’t. … I think that will help.
hey, let’s chat sometime too, maybe if you’re on the drive and dreadly tired of the students in your van.
